ESSAITECH SOLUTIONS LIMITED ("ESSAi", "we", "us", or "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others, including rights held by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA), textbook and assessment publishers, authors, and schools. This page explains the provenance of our practice content and how to contact us about copyright.
Practice content disclaimer
Practice items on ESSAi (including AI-generated, DSE-/TSA-/HKAT-format practice) are created or generated by ESSAi with reference to the Education Bureau (EDB) curriculum and public exam formats. They are not HKEAA examination papers, sample papers, practice papers or marking schemes.
They are also not original exercises, mock papers, or past-paper collections from any textbook, workbook, or commercial assessment publisher. Differences in school teaching progress are expected; our materials are for exam-format practice only and should not be treated as affiliated with any publisher.
1. What we claim and what we do not
Unless otherwise stated:
- Platform software, original AI-generated practice items, UI design, and ESSAi-authored materials are owned by ESSAi or our licensors.
- We do not claim ownership of HKEAA examination papers, sample papers, practice papers, marking schemes, or other HKEAA copyrighted works.
- We do not claim ownership of original questions, passages, mocks, or past-paper collections published by textbook or commercial assessment publishers (or their authors/licensors).
- Teacher- or school-uploaded materials (for example documents assigned only to that school's classes) remain the responsibility of the uploading school. Schools must ensure they have the right to upload, store, and assign such materials. ESSAi does not review every upload in advance and does not claim ownership of school-uploaded content.
2. Copyright enquiries
If you believe material on ESSAi infringes your copyright, email admin@essaiedu.com with enough detail for us to investigate. Please include:
- A clear identification of the material (URL, product page, assignment title, or other locator) and a short description of your copyright work.
- Your name, organisation (if any), and contact email.
- A brief statement that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act for the owner.
We will review notices in good faith. Where appropriate, we may remove or disable access to the material and contact the relevant school or user. If school-uploaded material was removed following a notice and the school believes that was a mistake, the school may email us for review.
3. Changes to this notice
We may update this Copyright & Intellectual Property notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of ESSAi after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised notice.
